HMD Global has updated its popular Android smartphone Nokia 6 with 4GB RAM. The updated Nokia 6 – termed as Nokia 6.1 also carries a 64GB storage option. Nokia 6.1 is now listed on Amazon India and the e-commerce giant has began taking notification registrations. Nokia 6.1 sale will go live on 13th of May.
To attract customers, Amazon India has announced a bunch of launch offers for Nokia 6.1. These offers include a ‘no-cost EMI’ for up to 12 months, 10% cashback for ICICI bank customers, a Rs. 2000 cashback for Airtel 4G subscribers plus free Airtel TV subscription till December 2018. Other offers include a free damage insurance for 12 months, and 25% discount on hotels by MakeMyTrip.
Nokia 6.1 carries nearly the same tech specs like its previous variant. With a 1GB bump in memory, the updated Nokia 6.1 features 4GB RAM. In addition to more RAM, HMD’s new smartphone now provides a 64GB storage option along with a 32GB option.
Besides those updated tech specs, the dual-SIM Nokia 6.1 smartphone features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD Full HD display with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It’s powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card, if required. A 16MP rear camera with ZEISS optics is also present.
With these tech specs, HMD Global is claiming to provide 60% better performance than the original Nokia 6. The updated Nokia 6.1 is priced at Rs. 18,999 at launch. Which means customers will have to pay Rs. 2000 more for an upgraded RAM.
Nokia 6.1 can be ordered from Amazon India starting 13th May. Customers have an option to get notified when the sale goes live.
