Xiaomi’s Upcoming Mi Mix 3 Flagship Confirmed to Support 5G Networks

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
With 5G networks to go live in the US by the next year, Xiaomi has confirmed that their upcoming flagship -- the MI Mix 3 -- will support 5G.

After teasing their upcoming flagship last week, Xiaomi has revealed one more exciting information about Mi Mix 3. Donovan Sung, the global spokesperson and director of product management at Xiaomi, has confirmed with a tweet that Mi Mix 3 will support 5G networks.

Donovan first posted a photo of the said flagship and asked his followers if they recognized anything interesting. He followed up with another tweet soon, confirming that they have successfully tested 5G data connection on Xiaomi phones. 5G download speeds are more than 10X faster than 4G speeds, he added further.

Although Mi Mix 3 is expected to be announced in October, 5G networks aren’t expected to go live in the US by the mid of the next year. It will be interesting to have a smartphone already support the next generation of network and be among the first to enjoy the increased speed and performance.

Mi Mix 3 5G Support

Huawei and LG have announced their plans to come up with 5G smartphones but that won’t happen until the next year. Before that, Moto Z3 is expected to get 5G support through a Moto Mod with Snapdragon X50 modem.

The Chinese maker has not announced any other detail related to Mi Mix 3. All we know is that it features a full-screen design with a sliding camera like Oppo Find X. The phone looks gorgeous — especially when everyone is busy copying the iPhone X.

It looks like we will soon learn more about the tech specs of Mi Mix 3. Stay tuned.
