In an effort to provide more sizes to choose from, Asus is all set to unveil Chromebook C523 which will be their first 15.6-inch laptop powered by ChromeOS.

Although the popularity of Chromebooks is growing at a steady pace, we still don’t get to see many 15-inch Chromebooks. Currently, Acer makes a 15.6-inch Chromebook. Now, Asus is all set to unveil its first 15-inch Chromebook — giving users more options to choose from when they are looking for ChromeOS laptop in a bigger size.

According to the product page on the company’s website, the 15.6-inch Asus Chromebook C523 will give an option to choose between a Dual-Core Intel Celeron N3350 or a Quad-Core Intel Pentium N4200 processors. RAM will be available up to 8GB and eMMC storage will be either 32GB or 64GB.

Asus 15 inch Chromebook

There will be two different displays — one that will carry a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and the other will carry 1920 x 1080 pixels. There will be an option to go for a touchscreen display, too.

Chromebook C523 will be the company’s first Chromebook to feature a NanoEdge design which will provide a bigger screen size in a compact chassis. It will feature a 180-degree hinge that will allow the laptop to be laid flat down if required.

Asus Chromebook C523 Tech Specs

Asus claims the 2-cell polymer battery of Chromebook C523 will provide up to 10 hours of battery backup. The company has not announced the price or the release date for its new Chromebook. But looking at its mid-range tech specs, its price should be somewhere near $350 to $400.
