HP VH240a Full HD Monitor At A Glance

HP VH240a carries a 23.8-inch 16:9 diagonal display with 178-degree ultra-wide viewing angle which provides vibrant details from almost any position. Its thin edges not only gives the monitor a sleek look but also makes it easy to set up a multi-monitor display.

The 23.8-inch IPS (In-plane switching) panel of this HP monitor outputs the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The IPS panel displays vivid colors and smooth pictures without lag.

The Full HD resolution is perfect for watching movies, working on office suites, web browsing, and even for gaming. While it may not be the best monitor for gaming, HP VH240a is still capable of displaying some crisp gaming graphics.

With a quick response time of 5ms and refresh rate of 60Hz, this HP monitor outputs smooth imagery without motion blur.

HP also impresses by making it very convenient to adjust height, tilt, swivel, and pivot. Its easy to work from any position – like sitting or standing – and adjusting the monitor according to your position. Adjust your monitor the way you want and get the best out of your desk space. Easy.

For connectivity, HP has provided an HDMI and a VGA port with HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) support. The HDCP support makes the monitor able to play digital copyrighted content.

HP hasn’t included a headphone jack on the monitor but they have provided integrated speakers. While HP claims these speakers provide ‘great audio,’ the audio quality is poor in reality. It might be good for listening some songs and short audio clips, but it’s certainly not good enough for movies and gaming. You better stick to your external speakers or headphones to enjoy better sound.

With crisp picture quality, quick and lag-free performance, vivid color output, and ease of use, HP VH240a is an impressive monitor. At a price tag under $150, this HP monitor doesn’t leave anything to complain about.
